We did it! ICE is out of Merrimack!

Feb, 24, 2026- Breaking News!

Gov. Kelly Ayotte just issued a statement that ICE will NOT be creating a facility in Merrimack. No ICE NH is thrilled at this statement. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all who helped us with the No ICE NH campaign!!

However, we will still be vigilant. We do not want an ICE facility proposed in a different part of NH, or of New England.

Why oppose any ICE facility, anywhere??

Humans might not be treated well, and in fact, might be treated very poorly. In addition, towns might lose money on property tax because the federal government doesn't pay property tax. That might make our own property taxes increase.

We also know that there will be:

  • Demand for water and sewer capacity that towns might not be able to handle

  • Increased demand on Police

  • Strain on emergency services from increasing any town’s population

  • Heavy traffic on local roads

Take action

Event though the ICE facility will not be in Merrimack, we invite you to be vigilant and oppose other ICE facilities! See the upcoming events page!
